Sports Physio · PhD Researcher · Former Elite Athlete · Founder

i built Athlete Girl because i got tired of watching women and girls get failed by a system that was never really designed with us in mind. told to rest. passed around. given generic advice and sent home without an actual plan. that happened to me too.

i'm a musculoskeletal and sports physiotherapist — clinical experience at central London university teaching hospitals, plus first team and academy squads at multiple Premier League clubs. my MSc in Sports Medicine, Exercise and Health is from UCL's Institute of Sport, Exercise and Health.

i'm currently doing my PhD at La Trobe University specifically on women's running health and REDs. i started in the biomechanics lab — runners with and without knee surgery histories, sex and gender differences in movement. that work led me directly to low energy availability as a critical missing piece for so many female runners.

i was a former elite athlete. i had career-ending injuries that were completely preventable. i don't say that for sympathy — i say it because it's the reason i know, first-hand, what it feels like to be told "you'll be fine, just rest" by someone who didn't have the full picture.

every woman and girl who trains deserves a clinician who actually gets it. that's what i'm here for.
